1995
- ASD Adult Tennis Tour to Athens,
Corinth and Mykonos
Our group was graciously hosted by the Athens
Tennis Club (above), which was celebrating their 100
year anniversary. Friendly competions were held on beautiful clay courts
beneath the
Temple of Zeus (shown in background).
That evening our group was treated to a festive social that extended merrily
into the night.

Ancient Corinth - (above and below)
After Athens the group moved to Corinth where it competed with two local
tennis clubs and toured the ancient ruins.
The ASD group resting in the shade of the mid-6th B.C. century temple

From Corinth, a one-day cruise
is an option. This cruise visits three islands including
Hydra
(left). This little island sports charming little shops, winding paths,
crystal clear water. There are no beaches per se, but step ladders and cement
platforms on the rocks for entering the beautiful ocean and sunbathing.
It is probably the only place where not only cars, but motorbikes
and bicycles are prohibited. |

Mykonos
- Most of us think of this picture when we think of Greece. Well Mikinos
is the place! During the 1995 Greece Tennis Tour, our group spent
three days on Mykonos relaxing, sunning, shopping, eating seafood and traditional
Greek cuisine, as well as cruising the island on scooters. This was a fabulous
way to end a great trip. |
