Explorer Report Details

Your child was assigned an explorer to research and write a three paragraph report on. There will also be a timeline, a portrait, and possibly a PowerPoint component as well. The PowerPoint component is dependent on the availability of the computer lab for our class. All other portions of the project are required.

Project Due Dates:

(we'll begin typing our bibliographies in class this Wed., Nov. 2)
Thurs., Nov. 10: Timeline & Journal Entries due

Presentation Tips:
· Students must dress up for full points.
· Students should "know" their key points fluenty, only glancing at note cards.
· Students want to speak confidently and make eye contact with their audience.
· Some students choose to present in "first person," taking on the personality, voice, and perspective of the actual explorer come forward in time to teach everyone about their life and adventures.

This will require practice, practice, practice.
